Children under the age of 6 are entitled to free visits to participating GPs, including Hazelhill Family Practice.
The card also allows for free visits to the GP for children up to the age of 6 and also covers specific assessment at ages 2 and 5. Care for children with asthma is also covered.
The specific assessments are preventative checks that include charting a child’s age, weight and height and then taking appropriate follow up action.
The asthma checks asses a child’s asthma and review their medications, for example checking to ensure the child is using their inhaler correctly.
